- Mental Health Therapy
Hello, my name is Jordyn Keasling.
I am excited to continue on as a member of the Mary Lanning Healthcare team for behavioral health services. I joined MLH in May 2017 and have since built up treatment specializations in subjects of grief/loss recovery and maternal behavioral health. Prior to joining MLH, I spent several years gaining social work and behavioral health experience with Boys Town in Omaha, domestic violence victim support programs, Early Head Start and child welfare services. I have worked in a variety of settings, including in-home family support services, crisis hotline, psychiatric residential treatment facility for youth and community-based services. I am happy to return to my roots in the Hastings area to serve my community as a bilingual (English-Spanish) therapist.
Theoretical Orientation/Treatment Approach
My theoretical approach is based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Grief Recovery Method (GRM) as a foundation for all clients. I have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care and changes in family dynamics. I believe the roots of most mental health concerns relate to negative thinking patterns that develop about circumstances and grief/loss experiences that remain unresolved. I will work to help you identify those barriers to being where you want mentally and emotionally, so you can move toward resolving them and living a higher quality of life.
