Inpatient Services
The Behavioral Services Unit is located on the 7th Floor of the hospital and utilizes a multidisciplinary team to provide services to adults 19 years of age and older, who are accepted on a voluntary and involuntary basis
The interdisciplinary team, directed by Board Certified Psychiatrists, provides for a collaborative and exhaustive assessment of the individual’s needs. The treatment team then designs and implements treatment strategies aimed at providing the most qualitative and optimal outcome. This consists of a medical evaluation; a thorough range of psychiatric services, within an open, supportive environment, including interesting and challenging treatment modalities. Daily programming may include individual and group therapy, psycho-educational groups, dual diagnosis groups, family education, occupational therapy, etc. Discharge planning is a part of each individual’s treatment plan in order to facilitate a productive and effective transition from inpatient care to the individual’s regular routine.
Treatment and therapy is individually planned to include an active program of experiences, with a specific purpose in his/her treatment. The goal is to return each person to his/her healthy life routine and relationships as quickly as possible.
