Located on the 1st Floor of the Medical Services Building, our cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation program is certified by the AACVPR.
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation team—made up of registered nurses, exercise physiologists, dietitians, and diabetes educators—works closely with your healthcare provider to design a personalized program that meets your needs and goals. Each program includes monitored exercise and heart-health education to slow disease progression, reduce risk of future events, and support long-term wellness.
Sessions are held three times per week and last approximately one hour. Programs typically run for 12 weeks but may vary depending on insurance coverage. We use a variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment tailored to your fitness level and abilities.
Cardiac Rehab is ideal for individuals recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery, stent placement, or living with stable angina or heart failure. A referral from your healthcare provider is required, and insurance coverage varies. A maintenance program is available for those wishing to continue their exercise routine after completing their monitored sessions.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is designed to help individuals with chronic lung conditions improve their quality of life through education and supervised exercise. Our program focuses on improving stamina, increasing oxygen efficiency, and reducing symptoms like shortness of breath. We closely monitor oxygen saturation and heart rate to ensure safety and effectiveness.
This program benefits those with COPD, interstitial lung disease, or lingering respiratory issues following COVID-19. It is especially helpful for individuals frequently hospitalized or struggling with daily activity due to lung conditions.
Sessions are offered three times per week and last around one hour. Most programs run for about 12 weeks, depending on insurance. A physician referral is required.
