What You Can Expect
When you arrive, a trained nurse will evaluate your condition and assess you. The most seriously ill and/or injured patients are treated first.
Unless you have a life-threatening illness or injury, you are asked to sign a consent form to authorize appropriate medical treatment, determined by the Emergency Services Team. Consent from a parent or legal guardian is required for children 19 years of age and younger.
Our doctors, advanced practice providers, nurses and emergency department technicians will work together to evaluate and treat your condition. This may include lab work and imaging. After recieving a medical screening exam to rule out life or limb threatening conditions, you may be asked about your medical insurance coverage. The HIPAA Privacy Rule protects this information.
