Hastings Family Care now offers the MyRisk® genetic test from Myriad Genetics. The test provides information about your genetic risk of cancer.

An adult is eligible for the test. Those with a family history of cancer may be interested.
Cost of the test
Most commercial and federally-funded insurance plans cover hereditary cancer testing,2 and most eligible patients pay $0. For those that do have an out-of-pocket cost, we offer options to make testing accessible and affordable.

A lab visit will be scheduled. No fasting or special preparation is needed.
Your results typically are available within a two to four weeks. Genetic counselors are available through the company to discuss your results.
