Each class addresses specific care issues for you and your baby, as well as the changes a new child will bring to your home. The nursing staff of the Family Care Center welcomes your questions and hopes our various classes will ease your fears about childbirth and caring for your baby.

Super Siblings Class
Are you wondering how big sister or big brother will react when the new baby arrives?
The Super Siblings class is a fun evening designed to prepare big brothers and big sisters for the new baby.
Older children will understand how special they are, even though the new baby and their mother may get much of the attention soon after the baby is born. Kids learn how to properly hold the baby and other safety issues.
The class includes a tour of the Mary Lanning Healthcare Family Care Center, where their mother and the new baby will stay. This knowledge can ease a child’s anxiety because they will know what to expect when the big day arrives.
Parents may accompany their children on the tour, or they may participate in a discussion of common parenting issues.
Super Siblings class participants make special cards for their mother and for the baby’s bassinet at the hospital. Each child also receives a coloring book.
When: 3rd Tuesday of every odd-numbered month from 7–8:30pm.
Please register in advance. Attendance is free.
