Birth & Beyond enables expectant families to schedule individual appointments to complete paperwork and to receive educational information about the birthing process at Mary Lanning Healthcare and other valuable parenting information. Family Care Center tours are also available.

The expectant mother and her support person are invited to meet with a Family Care Center staff member to fill out health histories, work on required forms and ask questions.

For more information or to schedule your free appointment, call 402-460-5737. Please leave a message and a Family Care Center staff member will return your call and set up an appointment.

Super Siblings Class

Are you wondering how big sister or big brother will react when the new baby arrives?

The Super Siblings class is a fun evening designed to prepare big brothers and big sisters for the new baby.

Older children will understand how special they are, even though the new baby and their mother may get much of the attention soon after the baby is born. Kids learn how to properly hold the baby and other safety issues.

The class includes a tour of the Mary Lanning Healthcare Family Care Center, where their mother and the new baby will stay. This knowledge can ease a child’s anxiety because they will know what to expect when the big day arrives.

Parents may accompany their children on the tour, or they may participate in a discussion of common parenting issues.

Super Siblings class participants make special cards for their mother and for the baby’s bassinet at the hospital. Each child also receives a coloring book.

Super Siblings is offered the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30pm. Please register in advance. This class is free.
