Visitor Information
We encourage family members or friends to accompany you to the hospital on the day of your surgery.
A family member may stay with you until you are taken into surgery. A nurse escorts the family member to the Surgery Waiting Area, where reading materials, a television and vending machines are close at hand. If the family member(s) leave the Waiting Area for a short time, they should check in with the Surgery Receptionist.
Your physician will speak with your family members after the surgery is complete.
Other things for visitors to remember:
- Your family member is informed when you move from surgery to the recovery room, and again when you move from the recovery room to your hospital room.
