Since 2011, Mary Lanning Healthcare has been accredited by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center (PSC). The MLH Stroke Program received recertification by the Joint Commission in 2024. We are one of 11 certified Primary Stroke Centers in the state, serving patients in south central Nebraska and north central Kansas. The program utilizes the most current, evidence-based guidelines in stroke diagnosis, treatment, acute care and rehabilitation.
Mary Lanning Healthcare continues to receive national recognition for the stroke care we provide through the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines program. Find out more here.
Research from the American Stroke Association shows that patients treated at a Primary Stroke Center receive a higher level of care with fewer complications, spending less time in the hospital and rehabilitation. Maintaining Primary Stroke Center certification and following the most-current guidelines and recommendations demonstrates a continued commitment to our tradition of service, education, and community involvement.
