Lactation Consultants

At Mary Lanning Healthcare, we provide free lactation support services. Our lactation consultants are available to assist new moms who have questions or simply need support in nursing their baby.

Board-certified lactation consultants:

Sayward Klinginsmith, RN IBCLC has worked with mothers and their babies since 2005 and became a lactation consultant in 2024.
Andrea Herman, RN IBCLC has been a Family Care Center nurse since 2002 and has worked in lactation since 2006.

At Mary Lanning we have a Lactation Consultant available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. They are here to assist and educate mothers about breastfeeding. Their goal is to help mothers meet their own individual breastfeeding needs.

Breast pumps now available

Personal-use breast pumps are made available through the partnership of Mary Lanning Heathcare and MilkWorks, a Nebraska-based nonprofit community breastfeeding center. For additional information, please contact the Lactation Office at Mary Lanning Healthcare at 402-460-5702.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Class

Mary Lanning Healthcare offers a free prenatal breastfeeding class for mothers in their third trimester. The class is offered both on line and in person the third Monday of the month from 6-8pm. Please call the Lactation office to sign up!

“Baby Weighs” Support Group

Need help with breastfeeding or simply want to weigh your baby? Attend one of our “Baby Weighs” breastfeeding support groups.

Baby Weighs is offered in three locations! No signup required.
