Tysen McDowell, PA-C, is seeing patients at Hastings Orthopaedics.
A Minden, Nebraska, native, McDowell has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a Master’s Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center Kearney Campus.
Before coming to Hastings Orthopaedics, McDowell worked at Urgent Care in Kearney.
McDowell, who played football for UNK, said sports medicine and orthopaedics have always been a niche for him.
“I really enjoy the team members at Hastings Orthopaedics and the team-building aspect here,” he said. “I saw how rural medicine played a factor in my life so I want to stay in a rural area.”
“I’m here to help give everyone the best experience and best care possible.”
McDowell and his wife live in Minden, where she is a fifth-grade teacher. They have two children and two dogs. McDowell said he likes to stay active outdoors and with exercise. He enjoys walking the dogs and family game nights.
