Eric Heidemann, DO, is seeing patients at Hastings Orthopaedics.
Dr. Heidemann is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with advanced expertise in hip arthroscopy—a highly specialized procedure offered by only a limited number of surgeons in Nebraska. His training includes a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Rochester and a comprehensive orthopedic surgery residency through Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, where he trained across high-volume trauma and specialty centers.
He grew up in the Seward area and received his Bachelor’s Degree with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Des Moines University in Iowa. He is an active member of several national orthopedic societies and has published peer-reviewed research on hip and wrist pathology.
Dr. Heidemann provides expert care in hip preservation, joint replacement and minimally invasive orthopedic procedures that prioritize mobility, pain relief and long-term function. He treats a wide range of orthopedic injuries with a focus on the hip, shoulder, knee and ankle.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Heidemann enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, fitness, leather work and board games with friends and family.
