Louis Grothe joined the MLH Diabetes Department in 2019. Grothe spent her career at MLH, starting as a CNA in 1998. She worked for Caring Hands and Subacute Rehabilitation, before graduating from Creighton University with her BSN RN in 2001. She worked in Subacute/Acute Rehabilitation for 12 years, obtaining her CRRN certification as a certified registered rehab nurse. "I enjoyed the rehab concept, and watching people improve and, most of the time, return to their own homes," Grothe said. She later worked for six years in the MLH Outpatient Infusion Center, obtaining her certification in Chemo/Bio Therapy. Grothe and her significant other, Ed, enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren and country dancing or spending time at the lake.
