Lisa Brown, APRN, has joined the Mary Lanning Healthcare team, splitting her time between the MLH Wound Center and Hastings Family Care’s Acute Care Clinic.
The Lawrence-Nelson graduate, attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2011-13. She received her BSN from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2015. Brown worked in the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Bryan Health before moving to Hastings and working in the Intensive Care Unit at MLH from 2016-2020. She transitioned into a position as an inpatient wound nurse while working toward her Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from UNMC. She graduated in May 2023. Brown said she likes to challenge herself and went back to school to grow here career. “I went with family care because it is not such a narrow scope,” Brown said. Brown said she enjoys working at MLH because it has “always just felt like home.” Brown’s husband, Decker, is a high school history teacher and coach at Lawrence-Nelson. They have a daughter, Greta, and a son, Bo.
