2024 Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Courses
Course Description
The PALS course is designed to provide pediatric healthcare providers (RNs, APRNs, MDs, DOs, etc.) with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children and help improve outcomes. The course is aimed at professionals who must be credentialed as a job requirement. Completion of the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support Program is based on criteria established by the American Heart Association.
Course participants must attend the ENTIRE activity in order to successfully complete the course.
Types of PALS Courses Offered at Mary Lanning Healthcare
PALS Full Course
The PALS Full Course is designed for healthcare providers who have never taken a PALS course or have previously taken an PALS course and prefer to take the full course to renew their certification. Course dates and links to register are listed below. ****Participants are required to complete pre-course work. Upon registration, a confirmation email will be sent to you with instructions to complete. A refund will not be issued if the pre-course work is not completed prior to the course.
HeartCode PALS (skills practice/testing via voice-assisted manikin)
****If registering for this option, DO NOT purchase the HeartCode PALS course from the AHA website.****
Participants will complete the online HeartCode PALS course through our online eLearning system. The skills portion of the course will be completed using a voice-assisted manikin (manikin hooked up to a computer). With this option an instructor will not be present. Please allow 5-7 business days after registering to receive access instructions.

Cost/Fees
The American Heart Association guidelines require all participants to bring a current PALS manual (2020 Version) with you to the course. You will use the manual throughout the course and can use it as a resource for the written exam. The manual may be purchased at the time of registration for an additional $65.
Non-MLH Healthcare Professional:
- PALS Provider Course - $250
- HeartCode PALS via eLearning system (skills completed through voice-assisted manikin) - $250
- Fee includes online HeartCode PALS course and skills testing.
MLH Employees:

Dates / Registration
Pre-registration is required for ALL attendees.
Once you have registered, a confirmation email will be sent to you with details regarding the course.
Registration Deadline:
Five business days prior to class start date. Classes can fill up quickly. Please register early to ensure a spot in the course.
Cancellations:
If a cancellation is received five business days prior to class start date, the registration fee (minus the cost of the textbook and a $15 processing fee) will be refunded. Refunds will not be issued if cancellation is received after this date.
