HASTINGS — The El Paquete Total (Total Package) support group wants to thank the community for its support over the past 11 years.
Members of the group, along with advisers from Mary Lanning Healthcare, are meeting from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, at the former Hastings Middle School, 505 N. Hastings Avenue, to pack lunches for Kids Against Hunger.
DeAnn Carpenter, Mary Lanning Healthcare Diabetes Program coordinator, said the El Paquete Total group also has raised some funds for the Kids Against Hunger program.
“People have given their time and energy to our program,” Carpenter said. “Now it is time for us to give back.”
El Paquete Total is a grant-funded program that assists Hispanic-speaking individuals with managing their chronic diseases and their healthcare. The program is facilitated by the Mary Lanning Healthcare Diabetes Program and the Mary Lanning Healthcare Foundation.
