Mary Lanning leader in safety for 18 years

HASTINGS —Accidents can happen in any workplace but in a hospital setting, it is especially important to keep accidents and injuries to employees, patients and visitors to a minimum.

Mary Lanning Healthcare is proud to announce it has been honored for exceptional performance with the Platinum Award from the National Safety Council, Greater Omaha Chapter for the 18th consecutive year. Mary Lanning received recognition as one of the safest companies in Nebraska. For the past 18 years, Mary Lanning has maintained above-standard performance in the number of work-related injuries and has implemented effective strategies to prevent injuries, according to the Council.

“Receiving this award for the 18th consecutive year is due solely to the dedication and commitment to safety shown by everyone within the hospital family,” said Dave Ferguson, Environmental Services Director. “Thanks go out to our staff for their continued efforts in ensuring the safety of all who enter Mary Lanning Healthcare hospital and clinics.”

The National Safety Council, Greater Omaha Chapter, is a non-profit organization and an accredited chapter of the National Safety Council. The Safety Council provides programs in occupational safety, community safety, traffic safety, behind-the-wheel driver education and personal accountability of individual behavior choices that impact safety.
