HASTINGS — Dr. M. Sitki Copur, a medical oncologist/hematologist at the Morrison Cancer Center, is listed as a contributing author to two updated textbooks that serve as guides for cancer doctors across the world.
Dr. Copur’s name appears as contributing to the “DeVita, Hellman, and Rosenberg’s Cancer Principles & Practice of Oncology,” 11th Edition, copyright 2019, Wolters Kluwer; and “Physicians’ Cancer Chemotherapy Drug Manual 2019,” copyright 2019, Jones & Bartlett Learning LLC.
“Cancer Principles & Practice of Oncology” is updated quarterly with late-breaking developments in oncology, including new drugs and clinical trials. The reference remains the gold standard in the fi eld, according to information on the cover.
“Physicians’ Cancer Chemotherapy Drug Manual 2019” provides the latest information on standard therapy and recent advances in the fi eld. According to its cover information, the book is “written by world-class experts in clinical cancer therapeutics,” and is the essential reference providing “a complete, easy-to-use catalogue of over 100 drugs and commonly used drug regimens for the treatment of all major cancers.” Dr. Copur coauthored parts of all chapters.
In addition to the textbooks, Dr. Copur continues to have success in writing for cancer publications. He recently had an article published in The Journal of Oncology, a professional publication (January 17, 2019). The CancerNetwork also plans to publish his review article, “Inadequate Awareness of and Participation in Cancer Clinical Trials in the Community Oncology Setting.”
Dr. Copur is also an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
