HASTINGS — A fundraiser for the Mary Lanning Healthcare Junior Volunteer program is helping people at Mary
Lanning and in developing nations across the world.
The Junior Volunteer program recently launched a collection drive of gently used shoes of all kinds. The shoes
are sent to Funds2Orgs, which in turn donates to the Junior Volunteer program. The Junior Volunteers are using
the money they receive to purchase stuffed animals for children visiting the hospital.
The shoes are redistributed to countries including Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and
Africa.
Donations are being taken until October 1. A donation bin is located in the North Entrance of Mary Lanning
Healthcare and the Ground Floor near the Cafeteria. You also can call 402-461-5132 for information.
