The Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mary Lanning Council are working on ways to help the community recover from the impact of the recent pandemic.
On April 27, a COVID-19 Reflection Ceremony is open to the public from 5-7 p.m. at The Lark, 809 W. Second Street. The ceremony will provide time for reflection and healing, including listening to speakers and gathering together. Snacks will be served.
In addition, anyone who wishes can post hearts in the windows of their homes and businesses, and wear red on April 27 in honor of dedicated healthcare workers. The Hearts for Healthcare
initiative gives the community a chance to show they care by honoring all of those working in healthcare. This could include EMS professionals, nursing home staff, dental staff, nurses, physicians, clinical professionals, receptionists and more.
