CT Practicum

The Computed Tomography (CT) Practicum offered by the Mary Lanning Healthcare School of Radiologic Technology, gives graduates of the Mary Lanning Radiography program the clinical experience related directly to CT.

Candidates for the CT Practicum must be ARRT certified in Radiography and in good standing with the ARRT. The didactic course work in Imaging II and Cross-Sectional Anatomy completed while in the Radiography program must be of an 80% or higher. There are a limited amount of spots for this Practicum so in addition to course grades, evaluations and any disciplinary actions obtained during the Radiography program are considered.

After admission to the Practicum, a schedule will be made for clinical hours with the clinical site and faculty. In addition to obtaining clinical hours and CT examination experience, the student will have weekly review assignments to help prepare for the ARRT CT certification exam.

Upon completion of the 7 week CT Practicum, the student will have the knowledge and exam requirements needed to be eligible to sit for the CT Certification Exam offered by the ARRT. The student will be awarded a Certificate upon completion.

As a Mary Lanning School of Radiologic Technology senior student, if you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please apply by June 1. Selection process will be completed by June 30 and the student will be notified.
