The Accelerated BSN

The Accelerated BSN at Creighton University College of Nursing – Mary Lanning Campus enables a college graduate with a baccalaureate degree to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 12 months. This intensive program of study condenses a four-year program into one full year. Classes begin each January and students attend classes full-time.

Creighton University offers one of the nation’s most successful and longest running accelerated nursing programs in the country.

Accelerated BSN graduates consistently exceed national pass rates on the registered nurse (RN) licensure examination (NCLEX).

Admission Requirements for the Accelerated BSN

  • Students must apply and be accepted by Creighton University to enroll in the Accelerated BSN.
  • Complete the online application.
  • Baccalaureate degree with a GPS of 3.0 or greater.
    • 3 semester hours of sociology
    • 3 semester hours of general psychology
    • 3 semester hours of lifespan development or developmental psychology
    • 3 semester hours of ethics
    • 2 semester hours of nutrition
    • 8 semester hours of chemistry to include 4 semester hours of organic or biochemistry
    • 4 semester hours of microbiology
    • 4 semester hours of anatomy
    • 4 semester hours of physiology
    • 3 semester hours statistics

Prerequisite courses can be complete at any accredited college or university and must be pre-approved.

International Students: TOELF score of 600 Paper-Based Test, 250 Computer-Based Test, or 100 for the Internet-Based Test required.
