Mary Lanning Healthcare Responds to Affordable Care Act
With the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act, Mary Lanning Healthcare is ready to respond by supporting the rules and regulations that have been placed into law by the US government. We will work diligently with all providers in the community and region to provide our patients with the most accessible, high-quality, safe and affordable care. Though the debate over the legality of this legislation has ended, the discussion related to how we enact this legislation will continue. Our team at Mary Lanning Healthcare will remain diligent in reviewing the potential impact of the Affordable Care Act and how it will affect patient care.
"This decision does not affect our Mission, Vision, and Values; nor does it change our strategic direction as displayed in the departments at Mary Lanning Healthcare. We have spent many years preparing for the future of care delivery within our healthcare system. As the region’s premier provider of healthcare, we’re expecting excellence that comes through the pursuit of our Vision – a new standard of world-class engagement, one relationship at a time," stated Bradley Neet, President/CEO.
According to government literature, the Affordable Care Act will ensure that all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care and will create the transformation within the health care system necessary to contain costs. The law puts in place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will roll out over four years and beyond, with most changes taking place by 2014.
