HASTINGS — Eight students graduated from the Mary Lanning Healthcare School of Radiologic Technology on Saturday, July 19.
Graduation took place at Hastings College’s Fuhr Hall.
Three graduates were from the Mary Lanning Healthcare clinical site; five were from the Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) clinical site in Kearney.
Graduates include Jeff Hopkinson (GSH), Luke Kathol (GSH), Michaela Knuth (GSH), Kristel “Kris” Koubek (MLH), Hannah Luek (GSH), Kassandra Smith (MLH), Rachelle Webb (GSH) and Jeremiah
Zwiener (MLH).
Craig Castensen BS ARRT, clinical instructor at Good Samaritan Hospital, and Matt Licking AS ARRT, radiologic technologist, presented graduation addresses.
The Bracco Outstanding Student Award, voted on only by faculty and clinical instructors, is based on the student’s behavior in the classroom, grades, quantity and quality of exams, patient care, how they work with others, performance under pressure, and ability to follow policies and procedures. The recipient was Michaela Knuth.
The 2014 Mary Lanning Healthcare Auxiliary - Irene Struss Scholarship and the Jim Elder Memorial Scholarship were awarded to Kayla Karlson.
